Binance Joins Musk's Twitter Bid
Binance, a giant crypto exchange, is joining the funding table for Elon Musk’s takeover bid of Twitter.
An Amended 13-D filing shows that nearly 20 investors have been added to Musk’s bid. Larry Ellison wrote the largest check at $1 billion, with Sequoia, Binance, and others contributing as well.
Notably, Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud will commit his nearly 35 million shares to the bid.
According to reporting from The Block:
"We're excited to be able to help Elon realize a new vision for Twitter," Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao told The Block. "We hope to be able to play a role in bringing social media and web3 together and broadening the use and adoption of crypto and blockchain technology." [The Block]
